SPIRIT OF SHERIDAN
What is the Spirit of Sheridan? It is the pure essence from which Sheridan
Healthcare has built its foundation of sharing and caring for its employees,
providers, clients, patients and community. The Spirit of Sheridan was created in
2001 from the tireless efforts of Linda Grohman, Education Liaison for Sheridan Healthcare,
who continues to spearhead and maintain its purpose to engage employees in teambuilding
activities and community outreach.
The initial intent was to enhance employee moral and corporate spirit through company
sponsored events during the holidays and throughout the year, but it quickly grew
from corporate book exchanges and fiesta luncheons to sponsoring and participating
in community charities and nationwide fundraisers. To date, the Spirit of Sheridan
partakes in several organized running events for illnesses and charities such as
the Susan Komen Race for the Cure and the annual Fort Lauderdale Corporate run.
Yoplait Yogurt "pink" lids are collected for breast cancer, cell phones
continue to be donated for soldiers in Iraq, and currently, we are purchasing gifts
for a Holiday Toy Drive to benefit underprivileged children.
The Spirit of Sheridan is all about teamwork, people coming together to accomplish
great things for others to enjoy and share. It is best exemplified in the Spirit
of Sheridan motto, "Share a Smile."
